I have no idea what needs to be done to get the message across to some of the clowns currently in power in the “Republican Fascist” Party, but we might have to resort to cast iron frying pans, baseball bats, and steel toed shoes to the family jewels. We don’t seem to be getting through to them any other way.
The obvious truth here is that “Democrats want to help PEOPLE, while Republicans want to hold POWER“.
This results is a dynamic that has a lot of people wanting to “play civilly and fairly” on a regular game board, when the other side plays by a totally underhanded, under the table rather vicious set of rules that only the strong survive and the weak perish. When that happens, playing nice is only going to work if you keep the game on your side of the field. These people don’t respect “nice” and, in fact, publicly ridicule it.
Please note that I am not advocating using their tactics or completely abandoning our own. But awareness of how they do things and an end to a slavish devotion to civility has got to happen before we can make any kind of headway here. By all means, break out the silver and china when the Democrats come over. Just remember to use the paper stuff when the other guys show up and count the spoons before they leave.
These folks have been PLANNING this stuff for somewhere around 40 years. The Dobbs decision is only the start of it. They do NOT care that 70% of the population does not agree with it. This is RULE BY MINORITY which is not Constitutional at all. AND it violates not one but FIVE AMENDMENTS of the very Constitution that they took an oath to love and defend. (I, IV, V, IX, XIV). What we need is these things:
- EXPANSION OF THE SUPREME COURT TO THIRTEEN
- IMPEACHMENT OF THOMAS, GORSUCH, KAVANAUGH, CONEY-BARRETT, ALITO
- PROSECUTION OF GINNI THOMAS AND CLARENCE THOMAS
- CODIFICATION OF ROE V WADE PLUS FEDERAL FUNDING OF ABORTION BY MEDICAID
- REVISION OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE OR ABOLISHMENT
- ABOLISH THE FILIBUSTER
If this country is to continue as a (little d)emocracy, then we absolutely MUST be governed not by the behind closed door meetings of a few wealthy white haired white guys (with a few white women mixed in), but it has to be the will of all of us. Otherwise, it is just another authoritarian tin pot dictatorship although one with a very big stick. That’s nothing but a big bully on a worldwide stage.
The only difference right now is that instead of being a bully in Afghanistan, Iraq, or Syria, these A-Holes have decided to browbeat 50% of the female population right in their own backyards. Lo and behold, they are finding out that American women just do not browbeat. We fight back.
I have no idea how many of these idiots will still be sleeping out in the barns and dog houses this winter. I do know one thing. Their expected increase in the birth rate may not jump quite as high as they’d hoped. If the mama ain’t happy, you ain’t getting any, smart guy. If you don’t figure this out, it will be a long time until you do. Just saying.
